I began making art in early childhood, from as young as I can remember. I was always interested in bold color and form, which can probably be attributed to Grandma Jonne’s love of all things floral!
I was fortunate to have amazing mentors and professors throughout my education process. I eagerly entered Arcadia University’s Fine Arts program and received invaluable knowledge and support. Experiences at London’s City University and Perugia, Italy’s Umbra Institute opened my eyes, shaping both my life and artwork in unforgettable ways.
I completed my BFA in Painting in 2009. However, deciding to fully envelope myself in the artistic process, I continued, adding concentrations in Ceramics and Art Therapy in 2010.
My life shifted in 2012. I began teaching at the School District of Philadelphia, while simultaneously completing a Masters in Education at Chestnut Hill College. Artwork has always been apart of my life, but with the enormity of my new career and the gravity of its purpose, art production sadly decreased. Art making became a way to process life, a private sanctuary that I preferred to keep to myself.
After the birth of my son in 2018, I was able to infuse joy and life into art making again. My current work includes portraits and abstract paintings focused on color and pattern.
I am available for private or group art lessons, and accept commissions.
